About Attorney Jennifer Rose Whitmire

Jenny Whitmire is an associate at Hatch, Little & Bunn, LLP. Her practice focuses on probate, estate matters, and elder law.

Born and raised in the mountains of Western North Carolina, her love for the mountains made attending Appalachian State University an easy choice. Jenny graduated cum laude with a major in Cultural Anthropology. She served as President of the Anthropological Society and as a Watauga Global Community Mentor. While at university, she spent a month in New Zealand rafting, kayaking, and learning from the locals. After graduation, she worked in the hospitality industry and continued adventuring abroad to places such as Spain and Portugal.

Over the years as family members aged, Jenny began to spend time in adult living facilities. Jenny saw the need for advocates for this vulnerable population. This reality plagued her, and she decided to attend North Carolina Central School of Law to develop the skills to help. At NC Central, Jenny was on the Dean’s List every semester and was a student representative at The Susie Sharp Inn of Court. Jenny graduated magna cum laude in 2023.

During any free time, Jenny enjoys hiking, trying new restaurants, and travel.
