*Betsy will be on temporary assignment on a project with Progress Energy through August 2006. Any questions related to her practice should be directed to A. Bartlett White.

 Betsy’s practice area is in general civil litigation, which includes a variety of fields and a particular focus on Landlord / Tenant issues.

Betsy graduated magna cum laude from Drew University in New Jersey. She studied abroad in Mexico and England and was a member of the national honor society Phi Beta Kappa. After college, she served as legislative aid to a state legislator and enjoyed assisting constituents and solving problems from inside the system. Betsy attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law; she spent more than 200 hours doing pro bono work and she was honored at graduation for her dedication to service. Thereafter, Betsy served as a law clerk on the North Carolina Court of Appeals for Judges Hugh B. Campbell, Jr., and Ann Marie Calabria. She joined Hatch, Little & Bunn, LLP in 2004. 

Betsy is a member of the Durham County Bar, the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers, the North Carolina Bar Association, and the North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys. Betsy served as Vice President of the Wake Women Attorneys (a chapter of the North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys) in 2004, and is co-chair of the Triangle Apartment Association’s Legislative Committee.

Betsy lives in Durham with her husband Charlie. Betsy enjoys training in Ninjutsu (a martial art) and staying active with cardio-kickboxing, spinning and running.
