DAVID H. PERMAR
Dave was a Captain in the United States Army while attending the University of Maryland. He retired from active duty in 1968, graduated in 1969, and went on to law school at George Washington University, earning his Juris Doctorate in 1972. In law school, he published an article in the Boston College Environmental Law Review entitled “A Legal Solution to the Electric Power Crisis: Controlling Demand through Regulation of Advertising, Promotion, and Rate Structure” (1971).
Dave joined Hatch, Little & Bunn, LLP after graduating from law school. His practice is focused primarily in the area of Transportation Law and extends to Local Government Law, Administrative Law and General Civil Litigation. He is licensed to practice in all North Carolina State and Federal courts, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Dave and his wife Ann have raised three children in Raleigh. Dave has served as President of Theater in the Park, as Chair of the Raleigh Telecommunications Commission, and is an Elder at the First Presbyterian Church in Raleigh.
